UFFL 2021 rule changes
The voting rounds are complete and the results are in. Hopefully, there are enough changes to appease some and enough that will stay the same to appease others. All votes had a majority except one (see below). Full results appear below:
The auction will remain
The budget will increase to the standard $200 per team
There will be a max of one keeper going forward
The top five teams record-wise will make the playoffs. The sixth seed will be the highest-scoring team (regardless of record) of the remaining seven.
The K position has been eliminated altogether.
DST will remain. TDs scored by the opposing teams DEF (ie: pick-six) won’t count against your DST point total allowed.
QB passing TDs will remain 4pts
The regular-season schedule will expand to 14 games, and begin week 1 of the NFL season. The draft will take place early Saturday afternoon (9/11), LOTF will supply the details. Charles in Charge.
Adding the additional WR/TE to replace the K position ended in a tie, so there won’t be an additional flex. It looked like a shoo-in to pass at 6-3, but the last three votes came in against. There is an investigation into the contact those three owners had with the Horsemen and whether or not any votes were bought.
I intend to update all the salaries (+$5) and put in any rule changes and put out the 2021 UFFL Schedule by this weekend. Stay tuned for the Auction Weekend - we may not be in Vegas yet, but hopefully, we can all be in person for the 25th Draft Day!
